FOLDED COAST

is a place, a destination, a dream. It is the sky and the clouds. It is the crumbling cliffs and rocky shores smashing ships. It is the soft dunes where steady waves crash and pull the sands out to sea.

Folded Coast is a band formed in the Baltimore area and it’s member come from Seattle, Denver and Baltimore. They have played in bands you have never heard of like Vegas in Flames, Spanish for 100, and Ohmaha.

At once unique yet strangely familiar, Folded Coast is a band that makes you listen. Guitars crunch, intertwine and echo with one another in ways the headphone set digs, as the bass and drums pulse and pound out a steady beat. You can’t help but to bounce your head with them, as each member of the band lays their hands on the wheel, driving the bus off the existential cliffs of God, self-destruction, and love.

Call it Indie Rock, Post-Punk or even just Rock and Roll, collectively Folded Coast likes to think of themselves as sonic curators of the frustration, hope and passion that serves to inspire people to pick up an instrument and “get it out”.

Folded Coast is: Jon Croft- Guitars/Vocals, Ross McGilvray- Bass/Vocals, Mike Gaunt- Guitar, Matthew Lawrence- Drums.

At once unique and yet strangely familiar, Folded Coast is made up of four individuals that have found a commonality in the desire to make music. Mining their collective experiences and forging ahead into the new and unknown, members Matt Lawrence, Ross McGilvray , Mike Gaunt, and Jon Croft , create dark, melodic pop music bordering on post- punk angularity and gauze enshrouded Shoe-Gaze.
